With natural stone finishes, high ceilings and arched doorways, plus lots of natural light to support the indoor garden, The Casa Palma was a fresh slate ready for Brittany Hockley.

Q. What were the best and worst things about getting to design The Casa Palma from scratch?
It is so hard to make decisions! Especially as I sort of chose one piece at a time. I have a vision of what I want, but that changes haha. The best part is that it was a completely clean canvas on an already beautiful base.

Q. What did you look for (or think about) when choosing your furniture?
The outdoor area was really important to me. We spend a lot of time outdoors, and I wanted it to be a clean and classy aesthetic. The pieces we chose perfectly fit the brief.
The dining table and chairs are also divine. I wanted chairs to complement the internal garden that is next to it, so the green was a perfect choice!

Q. You’ve got a lot of outdoor spaces (and the weather to match), what do you think are must-haves for a summer outdoors?
Oh, a beautiful pool setting and lush outdoor umbrella! I am still searching for the umbrella, but the pool chairs and little pool setting I got from Kave Home are stunning.

Q. What’s one thing you could never compromise on with your furniture and decor?
Comfort! Of course, you want it to look the part and add style to your home, but at the end of the day, if you aren’t comfortable and can’t use it, there is no point for me. I want to enjoy living in my space, not just enjoy looking at it!
