‘Home’ means something different to everyone. But what we can all agree on is that the feeling of ‘home’ comes to us when we feel comfortable and at peace with our surroundings.
Any house has furniture, but a home has YOUR furniture. The piece you’ve had for years. Or the one you saved up for because it matches your personality perfectly.
And, a home has memories. The nights you’ve spent on your sofa with your partner. The meals shared at your dining table with your family. The afternoons spent reclining outside with your favourite book.
Home is what you make it.

We recently partnered with Holly Neilson, a local Brisbane artist. She crafted a few unique pieces for our Brisbane showroom, including a creative window scape and hand-drawn designs on Kave tote bags. As part of this partnership, we asked Holly to reflect on what home means to her.
“Home, to me, is a feeling more than anything. It’s in the small, everyday moments—morning light coming through my windows, a morning coffee on my front door step and being surrounded by things that bring me comfort and calm. Because I live and work in the same space, I’ve come to really appreciate how the little details that shape the atmosphere of a home inspire my creativity, too.
I’m naturally drawn to cosy corners, natural light, and the kind of simple, lived-in beauty that makes a space feel personal. Those are the things that inspire my work, too, but mostly they just make me feel grounded and at ease.
Home is where I can slow down and feel most like myself.”
